Kanopy
Kanopy is a video streaming service that provides free quality, thoughtful entertainment. Find movies, documentaries, foreign films, classic cinema, independent films and more. Stream films anytime, anywhere on your preferred devices.

Visit https://northernwaters.kanopy.com/ to create an account using your email address and library card number.

  • Each patron receives 15 tickets per calendar month.

  • Tickets reset on the first of each month.

  • Unused tickets do not roll over to the following month.

  • A film uses tickets once you start it.

  • You can see your remaining tickets for the month in the top-right corner of the homepage.

  • As you browse for titles, you'll see the number of tickets required to watch each title and how long you have to watch it.

  • For episodic titles like TV series, you'll also see what content the tickets unlock (e.g., "Season 1" or "all").

  • When searching for titles, you can filter your search results by the number of tickets required.

Kanopy Kids features a collection of films and TV series that inspire and inform, helping children develop social emotional skills and reinforcing valuable learning topics, such as history, science, and new languages, offering a diverse selection of educational and entertaining content, including movies, TV series, animated storybooks, live action features, and animated favorites. Our patrons have unlimited viewing access to Kanopy Kids content. Tickets are not required.


Arts & Crafts

Creativebug offers online video arts and crafts workshops and techniques. Learn how to paint, knit, crochet, sew, screen print, and more -- all you need is a library card!

HeritageHub by NewsBank allows you to explore your family history with the premier collection of U.S. obituaries and funeral home notices for in-depth genealogical research from 1704 - today. Easily identify relatives, uncover new information and potentially unknown family members. Includes deep coverage from all 50 U.S. states, and territories, hard-to-find content from the mid 1900’s, and original obituary images. Access is available 24/7 on any device.
