February is Love Your Library Month! Come to the library for a meet & greet with local author Tashia Hart on Saturday, Febuary 14th at 10:30 am!

Tashia Hart is a writer and artist from the Red Lake Nation of Anishinaabe in northern Minnesota, currently living in Duluth, Minnesota. Her literary works include the contemporary romance Native Love Jams; The Good Berry Cookbook: Harvesting and Cooking Wild Rice and Other Wild Foods; the middle-grade illustrated book Gidjie and the Wolves; Girl Unreserved, a fictionalized retelling of my own coming of age tale; and coming August 2026, Patrick DesJarlait: Fine Artist.

She has also written screenplays and recently co-wrote and acted in the film Ish Meets a Mermaid by Jonathan Thunder.
